If you clicked on this blog post, your either A wondering what the hell I’m doing creating a blog or B, your genuinely curious of how to start your self care journey. Self care has always been a hard idea for me to grasp. I was determined to find ways to make me happy. I started journaling, eating better, going to the gym, reading, etc. Now at first none of those things made me happy. I thought what the hell is the point of doing this or how long is this going to take to set in. I can tell you that these things take time and making a routine is crucial for self care. Yeah doing things like journaling or eating healthy for a day can make you feel good in the moment; continuing the routine can help you long term. Creating a routine can be one of the toughest tasks. You start to feel like your never going to get it and you should just give up. I’m here to tell you if you can just get over that hump and continue to work at it, it will make your life 10 times better. No one ever realizes how much a little change in your life can make a difference. For me it was eating healthy and going to the gym. Making that a habit was the best decision ever and I’m glad I pushed over that hump to get here. So if you can take anything from this blog, I would tell you to find something that makes you really happy, and make it a routine. Whether that be journaling about your day or going to the gym, find something that YOU like and make it a habit.
